Rockbridge United Soccer Club is excited to announce the expansion of its youth program to include an ALL-GIRLS U10 Challenge Program and an ALL-GIRLS U12 Challenge Program, beginning in Fall of 2026! These will be the first girls-only soccer opportunities for almost 10 years in Rockbridge County & Lexington.
To be eligible for U10 in the Fall 2026 season, players must be born in 2017 or after. If your child was born in 2016 and will enter 4th grade in the Fall of 2026, please do not be discouraged from reaching out with interest. The age groups and related criteria may change in the 2027 season, and all attempts to incorporate 4th graders onto the roster will be made for the 2026 season.
To be eligible for U12 in the Fall 2026 season, players must be born in 2015 or after. If your child was born in 2014 and will enter 6th grade in the Fall of 2026, please do not be discouraged from reaching out with interest. The age groups and related criteria may change in the 2027 season, and all attempts to incorporate 6th graders onto the roster will be made for the 2026 season.
Players must be selected for this program and are expected to compete at an advanced level of play for these age groups. These teams compete in a league with other teams of this age group from the surrounding areas.
Teams train twice per week and play 8 to 10 matches per season. Matches are generally to be played on Saturdays, with makeup games to be held on Sundays. All games will be in the Lexington and surrounding areas, within about an hour.
The U10 Program is a 7 versus 7 format, with six field players and a goalkeeper. Tryouts will be held May 9th for all interested players (possible makeup day May 10th).
The U12 Program is a 9 versus 9 format, with eight field players and a goalkeeper. Tryouts will be held May 9th for all interested players (possible make up day May 10th).
If your daughter is interested in participating, please complete sign up for tryouts even if you are unsure or cannot make the date. It is free of charge and no obligation, but will help us gauge interest.
Create or login to your family account and add your players(s) if they are not already in there. Available programs will appear in your Account Home, next to the player’s name. Please try to register by April 30th, 2026, though you can sign up on-site.
