
Congratulations to Ava Hecker, recognized by the VYSA and USYS as TOPSoccer Coach of the Year!!!
Ava (back row, right) founded RUSC’s TOPSoccer Program during the 24-25 season, creating it from the ground up. Ava hails from Stafford Virginia where she played club and high school soccer and served as a Buddy in TOPSoccer. She is finishing her senior year as a midfielder for the ODAC Champion W&L Women’s Soccer Team. Ava will be receiving her award at the VYSA Annual Awards Gala on February 7, 2026 in Fredericksburg, VA.

US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a recreational sports program for children with intellectual, emotional, or physical disabilities offered only through local US Youth Soccer-affiliated soccer clubs. TOPSoccer provides people with diverse abilities an opportunity to play soccer in a structured environment that is safe, fun, supportive, and inclusive.

Rockbridge United Soccer Club is again proud to offer our TOPSoccer program this Spring 2026! TOPSoccer Players receive:
- 1-on-1 pairing with a trained buddy
- Sessions tailored to all levels of functioning/ability
- Players grouped by ability
- Fun and engaging interactions with peers
- Sessions facilitated by soccer coaches
- TOPSoccer T-Shirt
When: 5 Saturdays starting in late March, 4 or 5 pm.
Where: Jordan’s Point, Lexington
Volunteers needed! 6th Grade through College – NO soccer experience required!
